Name: Agent Washington, real name David, with no canon last name Door: Door PassCanon: Red vs. Blue Canon Point: Post-Season 13 (Chorus). Age: 38 Appearance: In canon Wash is pretty much only ever seen in full armor, and I currently use Michael Trucco circa Battlestar Galactica as his PB. History: Link here. Personality: RESILIENT. Wash is nothing if not relentlessly determined, able to stay the course despite incredible hardship and adapting to anything and everything that gets thrown his way. Most notably in canon, after essentially going insane after having an insane AI commit suicide while implanted in his head, Wash put himself together again mostly through sheer force of will. Under constant questioning and surveillance, Wash was not only able to hide the information he had learned from the AI but also his true intentions to the point where Freelancer trusted him enough to make use of him as an agent again, where he continued to bide his time until the moment was right. He's not only mentally resilient, but physically too, having survived an assortment of gunshots, explosions, being hit by vehicles, and otherwise.
PARANOID. Some amount of distrust and caution is to be expected among special ops agents, but Wash is thought of as overly paranoid even by teammates and paranoid is one of the highlights of his psych eval profile at Freelancer. He's immediately distrustful of everyone he meets, defaulting to hiding or obfuscating parts of himself and his identity, and how it causes him to treat people can lead into his darker and more manipulative tendencies. At his canon point he has started to ease back on this slightly, having learned to trust a whole new group of idiots, but outside of them he still tends to be just wary and guarded when it comes to anyone new.
VINDICTIVE. Wash has suffered multiple betrayals in his life and has shown that he not only has a very hard time letting go of grudges, but will be completely ruthless when it comes to getting revenge. After South's betrayal, Wash doesn't even hesitate or appear to express any regret when it came to killing his former friend, and he also spent a defining part of his life completely dedicated to pursuit of vengeance against Project Freelancer and the Director for what they did to him and his friends. He has started to calm down on this over the years and is capable of letting some things go, but that tendency towards spite and vengeance is still very much present in his personality.
GUILT-DRIVEN. In general Wash has a very obsessive personality, leading to his tendencies towards revenge and his relentless determination, but he also obsesses over his own perceived mistakes and wrongdoings, and has an even harder time forgiving himself than he does other people. In canon he's shown to have repeated nightmares about times when he shot members of the Reds and Blues. It doesn't help that he has genuinely done some pretty despicable things in his life, and while he does regret them he is very aware that he is willing to do terrible things again if the situation calls for it. This general belief that he isn't really "a good person" can lead to him taking him more blame than he actually deserves. Sometimes this guilt can lead to somewhat positive things, such as his genuine loyalty to the Reds and Blues and dedication to protecting them, however it ultimately means he is at his core driven by his guilt for things that either weren't his fault in the first place, or he simply will never be able to make up for. Powers and Abilities: Wash is just a human being with no supernatural powers or abilities. While very capable, just about all of that comes from high-tech equipment and military training.
SPEC-OPS TRAINING. He was literally part of a top secret military spec-ops super soldier program, just one that gave them cool stuff instead of doing any biological augmentations or anything along those lines. Wash always consistently ranked 6th among Project Freelancer operatives, and that pretty much makes it sounds like a big old whopping "meh". He was definitely considered mediocre -- but with a little context, mediocre as compared to some of the most ridiculous super soldiers around still lands him pretty far above average. What he lacked in raw power and skill compared to the others he made up for by being resourceful and adaptable, a capable strategist and a clever tactician.
TECH & WEAPONRY. General familiarity that comes with being a trained and accomplished soldier in the 26th century, on top of his resourceful nature. Wash has been shown to be able to repair radio beacons as well as heavily modify armor pieces, and would generally be able to pick up most weapons and learn to use them quickly if he wasn't already capable. He is also able to operate a variety of vehicles, military or otherwise, except anything that is considered a car or is maybe car-shaped, which he has a very, very bad track record with. Just keep cars away from him.
SURPRISINGLY GOOD LIAR. For years, Wash had to hide everything he knew and everything he was planning while undergoing frequent intensive questioning. Not only was he capable of it, he was able to manoeuvre his way into being trusted enough to act as an agent again. Wash is in general more manipulative than people tend to give him credit for, an almost unnervingly good liar and actor whenever he has a reason to be. He is perfectly aware of how advantageous it is for him to be frequently underestimated, and is only happy to play into it as it suits him.
MEMORY. During of Project Freelancer, he was implanted with the Epsilon AI fragment, the memory aspect of the original Alpha AI. Epsilon went on to essentially kill itself while implanted in his head, and Wash ended up essentially inheriting all of the Epsilon AI's traumatic memories in vivid detail. As a side effect, Wash has a near-photographic memory and is capable of near perfect recall, though he's also stated to have always had a strong memory even before Epsilon. Inventory: Wash always has the armor and undersuit on, so aside from that, he'd have: Battle Rifle (BR55HB SR)8-inch UNSC Combat KnifeHis EMP Armor Enhancement. Samples: One & two!
